EAST BRAINERD: Driver's ed course for 15-21 year olds

The leading killer of 40 percent of youths age 16 to 19 is motor vehicle crashes. With so many teen fatalities, not only in Chattanooga but nationwide, the Chattanooga Region Sports Car Club of America and BMW of Chattanooga have teamed up to host Teen Driving Schools for licensed and permitted teens age 15 to 21 on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for $75. The fee includes driving and classroom instruction, lunch and other valuable information. The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival Teen Driving School is to provide a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations. Students use their own car and coaches teach how to drive in wet and dry conditions, why not to follow too closely, hazards of texting and driving and so much more.
