LOOKOUT VALLEY: Wauhatchie UMC hosts several events

Wauhatchie United Methodist Church has several activities planned for next week. The church will host the Covenant Youth Choir for a special concert, "Making History," on Monday at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, the McRoys from Rossville will present an evening of gospel music, starting at 7 p.m.

Comedy Night is scheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy refreshments and videos of great Christian comedians. Everyone is invited to attend all events. For more information, contact the church at 423-825-5766.

The Chattanooga Traffic Engineering Division combined resources with the Parks and Recreation Department and the Chattanooga Police Department to establish a city-sponsored drivers education program for city residents between the ages of 15 to 18.

Haman's New Drivers has contracted with the city to provide its basic five-week defensive driving course to eligible city residents for $350. Upon application, the student/parent(s) pay a $50 non-refundable enrollment fee. Once the student has successfully completed the course, the city pays the $300 balance directly to the driving school.
