Staff Photo by Matt Fields-Johnson Warehouse Row, at 12th Street and Market streets, houses unique shops, a food court and Public House restaurant.
Warehouse Row is continuing its transformation of downtown shopping with a unique environment and special shops.
Tenants like Rodney Simmons, who owns design store Revival, said the shopping center is creating "better retail in Chattanooga."
"Before this, quality, high-end shopping kind of ping-ponged all over the city," Mr. Simmons said during the last holiday shopping season as Warehouse Row's sales were just heating up.
Warehouse Row on Market Street, which opened in the 1980s, completed a renovation last November and has six retail anchors, including Revival, the local Amanda Pinson Jewelry and the Nashville-based Cosmetic Market, as well as smaller retail boutiques like Embellish shoes.
Each store has special offerings that only can be found at Warehouse Row.
Cosmetic Market, for example, is the only place in Chattanooga where residents can buy the cosmetic brands Smashbox and Philosophy. Revival also offers unique antique pieces from all over the world.
As Warehouse Row continues to fill its spaces with retailers, Michael Phillips, the creative director of Jamestown Properties, the company that is developing Warehouse Row, said they will continue to be selective.
"Chattanooga is a really sophisticated town (and) we want to get the best retailers we can to cater to the local shopper."
