Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries and North River Family YMCA & Aquatic Center invite anyone interested in learning more about the Chattanooga District Senior Olympics to an Information and Training Day on Saturday, March 13. The information session will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North River Family YMCA & Aquatic Center, 4138 Hixson Pike.
The Senior Olympics will be held May 3-8 in locations across the Chattanooga area.
The games are open to anyone age 50 or older who lives in Tennessee. Residents of Alabama or Georgia, who live within 30 miles of the Hamilton County/Marion County state line, are also eligible to participate.
Individuals who are 49 years old are eligible to participate in the 2010 district and state games if their 50th birthday occurs before Jan. 1, 2011.
Registration forms will be available at the event. Registration forms are also available for download at www.AlexianSeniorNeighbors.org or by calling 755-6114.
Participants who register by March 15 will receive a $5 discount off the registration fee of $30. Additional fees apply to bowling and golf events. Registration for Senior Olympics ends April 2.
