OOLTEWAH: Bridge framing finished

Officials with Bell Construction said framing on the Interstate 75 bridge that spans Lee Highway in Ooltewah is done and workers could begin pouring concrete this week.

This is a huge piece to this “Nightmare in Ooltewah” road project puzzle that began in November 2007. The I-75 bridge over Lee Highway is the last major job of the project. Completion date is scheduled for October of this year, but Bell Construction officials said a July completion date is “not out of the question.”

In sports, Bobby Allen made an ace on No. 6 at the Champions Club last week. He used a nine-iron. It was his seventh hole-in-one.
