Auburn fires Jeff Lebo after six years

AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn has fired Jeff Lebo after six seasons, five of them losing campaigns.

Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs announced the firing Friday.

Lebo had an overall record of 96-93 and a Southeastern Conference record of 35-61. This season, Auburn finished 15-17, including 6-10 in league play.

The Tigers’ season ended Thursday with a 78-69 loss to Florida in the SEC tournament.

Before going to Auburn, Lebo spent two years at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, leading the Mocs to a 40-20 mark with two trips to the Southern Conference championship.

Kind of surprised he didn't do more while he was at Auburn, but not surprised the Tigers let him go.
