A 20-year-old man was shot today on Duncan Avenue after an argument over a woman, police said.

RaShaun Dontae Ware, was shot in front of 2110 Duncan Ave. about 1:45 p.m. after arguing with an unknown suspect, said Officer Rebecca Royval, police spokeswoman.

Mr. Ware, who was shot in the buttocks, is in critical condition at Erlanger, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening, she said.

Police found shell casings in front of the house and down Duncan Avenue, despite earlier false reports that the incident occurring in front of Sandy’s Mini Mart, Officer Royval said.

Mr. Ware originally was dropped off at Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle, Officer Royval said, but was immediately transported to Erlanger.
