Voters across Southeast Tennessee will head to the polls Tuesday for primary elections.
“Unless there is some really hot battle or it is an office that’s very visible, turnout tends to be quite low,” according to Bruce Oppenheimer, a Vanderbilt University political science professor.
The trustee’s race between incumbent Carl Levi, who has held the post since 2002, and Hamilton County Commissioner Bill Hullander is one of the hotly contested races.
All nine County Commission seats are up for election.
