Residents across Tennessee will begin seeing new campaign ads for Zach Wamp's GOP gubernatorial campaign today.
The four region-specific ads focus on Mr. Wamp's desire to create more jobs throughout the state, focusing on the success of bringing Volkswagen to East Tennessee.
In the commercials, Mr. Wamp outlines plans to create job opportunities in agriculture, energy, biomedical, automotive, defense and health fields in the state through his "20/20 Vision" for job creation.
Two new ads for Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam, also running for the state governor's seat, also came out this week, said campaign spokesman David Smith.
"We're focused on our plan of getting out the message of Mayor Haslam's proven record on smaller government and job creation," Mr. Smith said.
Attempts to reach GOP gubernatorial candidate Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey for comment were unsuccessful.
