MOBILE, Ala. - Two singles and a Bryan Bryne sacrifice fly in the ninth inning gave the Mobile BayBears a 5-4 win over Chattanooga in Southern League baseball Saturday night.

Collin Cowgill's two-run home run to left-center in the seventh inning tied the game at 4-4 for Mobile.

Lookouts starting pitcher John Koronka didn't factor into the decision but was a factor at the plate, producing a two-out single to left in the fourth inning that scored Tommy Giles and a two-out single to right in the sixth that scored Eddy Perez and Elian Herrera, who had been activated earlier in the day.

Game two of the five-game series is tonight at 7:05 EDT. Alberto Bastardo (2-3, 5.50) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Tom Layne (4-1, 2.96) scheduled for the BayBears.

Lookouts relief pitcher Matt Sartor, a Southern League All-Star last season, was sent down to high Single-A Inland Empire on Saturday after going 1-3 with a 7.50 ERA in his first 14 appearances this season. Replacing him was reliever Kenley Jansen, who was 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA in the California League.
