Or you can be the CEO of Bluecross Blueshield of TN and make more than all those combined.
Nurse, do you pay her salary? Does someone hold a gun to your head to make you use BCBST? No and no. So who cares what people make in the free market? You can chose to use their services, or not. It's the blood sucking politicians and teet sucking government employees who make much more than they're worth.
The hospital administrator for any of the hospitals these doctors work in I'm pretty sure makes a lot more than any of those listed and also the "The Man" at TVA with all his bonus money gets a nice package.
Bookie, who put a bee in your bonnet? Who said I even utilize BCBST? I CARE about what someone makes in a Non-profit organization such as BCBST when they seem to be running the gammit for insurances. When a company says they have to raise your rates every year because of inflation and rising medical cost and then pay their CEO $1.5 million, I say there is something wrong with that. When I made my statment, it was clearly regarding the last statement of the article. "5. CHIEF EXECUTIVES -- $155,590 average annual pay in 2009"
Just a drop in the bucket for some CEO's. And Bubbles is correct about the hospital administrators and "The Man" at TVA.
non profit's can't give their employees raises. They use their not-profit status as an excuse....all the while the CEO is redecortating his office with expensive art work and driving expensive automobiles. Yet a 20+ year employee cannot even afford to pay rent.
