Today in downtown is the 1890's Days Jamboree. The parade begins at 11 a.m. Attendance is free.
Next weekend, the Dixie Highway Yard Sale, stretching 90 miles along U.S. Highway 41 will run through Ringgold. Visit www.DixieHighway.org for information.
For a dose of patriotism, drive or walk around downtown streets for the next two weeks. The Festival of Flags honors about 860 fallen veterans of Catoosa County. There is a Facebook page reminding us of the Flag display. Its "835 Reasons to Love Ringgold, GA!"
Beginning June 1, a free movie will be offered at Ringgold Depot at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays through the summer. Children must have parental supervision. Drinks and popcorn are available for 50 cents each. Call 706-935-5290 or check out the movie schedule at www.cityofringgold.com.
On Saturday, June 5, Cloud Springs Baptist Church, at 210 Cloud Springs Road, in Fort Oglethorpe, is sponsoring a Car and Bike Cruise-In. Entry is $15. Awards will be presented. A $3 hot dog lunch is available. Call 423-903-3565 for information.
