Gordon keys Lookouts' 2-1 victory over Suns

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Dee Gordon scored on Corey Smith's sacrifice fly after doubling to lead off the game and homered in the sixth inning to pace Chattanooga's 2-1 Southern League baseball victory Saturday night.

Lookouts starting pitcher Alberto Bastardo (5-3) allowed four hits and struck out 11 batters in six innings, and three relievers combined to allow just one hit and add five strikeouts. Jon Huber gave up the hit but struck out three in the ninth for his third save of the season.

Jacksonville's Alejandro Sanabia lost for the first time in six decisions but gave up only a Mike Rivera single besides Gordon's two hits in his seven innings. Vinny Rottino's sixth-inning double plated the Suns' run.

Game five of a five-game series in Jacksonville is tonight at 7:05. Mario Alvarez (3-3, 4.10 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Jose Rosario (3-2, 3.38) scheduled for the Suns.
