Investigation continues into dogs thrown from overpass

Investigators from both Walker and Catoosa counties are looking for suspects in an animal cruelty case in which two dogs were thrown from an overpass onto U.S. Highway 27.

The dogs were taken from a home in Rossville in Catoosa County on Friday and thrown from the Georgia 2A overpass in Walker County, police said.

Though injured, the Labrador-bulldog mix and the beagle-bull mix were treated and released from a Fort Oglethorpe animal hospital, authorities said.

The owner reclaimed the dogs after seeing a news report about the incident, police said.

Police say they are questioning neighbors about the incident but don’t have enough evidence to make any charges.

If I were a gambling man... I'd bet a whole quarter that these were republicans or kids of. There is one constant.. the lack of respect for life and health.

These are my cousin's kids' dogs. They're not wealthy people and work their butts off and live in a working-class neighborhood - so probably no Republican kids involved eeeeek. Someone went inside their fence and took these dogs and then, for whatever reason, tossed them from a bridge a few miles away from the home.

If you have a beef w/ kids or neighbors, why take it out on the dogs? What a horrible thing to do.

People didn't have yapper problems in Korea...they HANGED the dogs from the bridges...then cooked and ate them.

nope.. I conferred with my native in-laws.

The republitard indians do indeed stab and slash.. cause they are to cowardly to battle face to face.

Fortunately they are so few, and most are kept in a constant vision quest, in hopes that their spirit guide.

Never mind, they were ribbing me. They normally just keep them in the crawlspace
