Body found at Chickamauga Dam

Chattanooga police are investigating a case of a body found at the Chattanooga Dam today, according to a news release.

Around 10 AM today, investigators were notified that the body of a white male had been found at the water’s edge just down from the swimming area, police spokesman Jerri Weary said in a news release.

The person's identity and manner of death are unknown and is pending further investigation. A vehicle, believed to be owned by the deceased party, was located by TVA police a few days ago. The body was discovered while trying to locate the owner of that vehicle.
