Prep player of the week honor roll

* Calhoun: Running back Dustin Christian picked up 155 yards and two TDs on 22 carries as the Yellow Jackets advanced to the Georgia 2A state semifinals with a 31-13 victory over Fitzgerald.

* North Jackson: Zac Barnard threw for 191 yards and two TDs, completing 19 of 30 passes, but the Chiefs' drive to the Alabama 4A championship came up short 28-14 at Deshler.

* Signal Mountain: Andrew Price made the most of 15 carries, rushing for 160 yards and a TD in the Eagles' 51-12 semifinal victory over Boyd-Buchanan. Price also recovered a fumble as Signal Mountain advanced to the Class 2A state championship game Saturday at Tennessee Tech. The Eagles will play Trinity Christian.

* South Pittsburg: Raquis Hale rushed for four TDs and 293 yards on 16 carries as the Pirates advanced to the Class 1A state championship game Friday at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. Hale also intercepted a pass in the 54-6 semifinal win over Coalfield. The Pirates will play unbeaten Jo Byrns.
