Funeral services for slain Walker County 911 dispatcher Theresa Parker will be held Saturday, according to officials with the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center. A second visitation period will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at LaFayette First Baptist Church, according to the funeral home.

The funeral will be held at noon Saturday at the church, and burial will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.

Parker was missing for 3 1/2 years, and her remains were found Sept. 21 along the banks of the Chattooga River near the Alabama state line. Parker’s husband, former LaFayette city police officer Sam Parker, has been convicted of her death. He is serving a life sentence in prison.
