A traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle led Chattanooga police to find the body of a local pastor in his home early this morning, Chattanooga police said.
Spokeswoman Jerri Weary said an officer who stopped a vehicle around 3 a.m. discovered it belonged to pastor David Strong of St. Paul AME Church, 2514 Williams Street.
Officers couldn't contact Strong, so they went to his home. They looked through a window and saw what appeared to be a person lying on the floor. The officers forced their way inside and found Strong dead.
Weary said there were signs of a struggle and the death is being treated as a homicide.
Two men who were in the vehicle during the traffic stop are being questioned but no arrests had been made as of midday, Weary said.

What is really going on. People are at the point that donot give a damn about anyone life. He used to be my pastor. My prayer and thought goes out to the family and Reverend Strong flock and church home. Need to bring back the electric chair and quit playing with this people who wants to kill.
I am sick and shocked about this. Rev. Strong was the nicest man. We worked together during Katrina and other times. He was good to everyone. This isn't right. Oh, Mercy me. I'll write later. Rest in Peace, Rev. Strong. You are home now. We will never ever forget you.
