LEXINGTON, Ky. - Georgia's good fortune this season in turnover ratio continued Saturday night when the Bulldogs forced Kentucky into three first-half miscues.
The Bulldogs turned Kentucky's mistakes into 14 points in building a 28-3 lead in the second quarter.
In the first quarter, Cornelius Washington recovered a fumble, which had been forced by Justin Houston and DeAngelo Tyson, and that eventually led to a 3-yard touchdown run by Ealey. Later in the first quarter, Bacarri Rambo forced a fumble that was recovered by Sanders Commings, but that resulted in a 47-yard missed field-goal try.
In the second quarter, following a 56-yard punt by Drew Butler, Kentucky fumbled and Houston recovered at the 2. That led to a 2-yard scoring run by Ealey, which was his third of the night. The four turnovers for the game gave Georgia 15 for the season, and the Bulldogs have converted them into 52 points.
Boykin goes distance
Junior cornerback Brandon Boykin notched his fourth career kickoff return for a touchdown, including his third that covered a school-record 100 yards. Last year, Boykin became the first player in Southeastern Conference history with two 100-yard kickoff returns in the same season, doing it against South Carolina and Tennessee.
Boykin's long return Saturday gave him 1,482 career yards on kickoff returns, which trails only Gene Washington, who had 1,637 from 1973 to '76.

Georgia shuffled its starting tackles Saturday with senior Clint Boling at left tackle and senior Josh Davis at right tackle. ... Before Washaun Ealey's school-record five rushing touchdowns Saturday, the last Bulldogs to rush for three touchdowns in a game was Knowshon Moreno at Kentucky in 2008. Ealey shares the UGA record for touchdowns in a game with Robert Edwards, who had four rushing scores and a receiving touchdown in a 42-23 win over South Carolina in 1995. ... Freshman Alec Ogletree made his first career start on offense - at split end. He also started on special teams. ... Senior safety Quintin Banks made his first road trip with the Bulldogs. Because of recurring knee injuries, he was forced to retire in the preseason.
