The Eastdale Elementary School reunion is set for Saturday and the community is invited. The outdoor festivities will be held on the former site of the elementary school near Eastdale Recreational Center. The festivities run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., so be sure to take along your lawn chair, fan, tent and a grill, if you wish.

The Scenic City Senior Spelling Bee will be held on Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Creekside at Shallowford, 7511 Shallowford Road. The event is free and the public is invited. The first 15 to pre-register will receive a "Bye." Pre-registration ends Sept. 17. Call 423-485-9933 to register.
