Catoosa sheriff’s deputy investigated for DUI

The Catoosa County Sheriff’s office is investigating a deputy who was arrested last week for drunk driving.

Josh Herbert wrecked his vehicle on Chattanooga Valley Road in Walker County late on Aug. 27, Sheriff Phil Summers said in a news release.

When the Georgia State Patrol investigated the accident, they arrested Herbert, who was off duty, for driving under the influence, Summers said.

Herbert was booked in Walker County jail and placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation, he said.
