Artists have been asked to explore the edges of their ideas for Saturday’s “Happenings” at Pee Wee’s Farm in Rising Fawn, Ga. Sponsored by the Trenton Arts Council, the event will have “the character of a festival of entertaining dialogue,” according to organizers.
“Happenings” will be defined by spoken words, music and sound, movement and theater, organizers said. The varied assemblage of performing artists will explore the meaning of happenings.
Regional performers and groups will take part.
“The event will be a continuation of the exploratory energy for which the Trenton Arts Council is known,” said the news release.
Gates open at 4 p.m. Overnight camping is included with the $10 admission. Food vendors will be present with a variety of food and soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages are bring-your-own.
To reach the site, take Georgia Exit 136 off I-59 at Trenton, Ga. Follow 136 to Highway 11 and turn right. Continue south on Highway 11 for 5.2 miles to Cureton Mill Road. Pee Wee’s Farm is about one-tenth of a mile down that road.
