Dunk a volunteer for Ronald McDonald House

Fourteen volunteers will sit in a dunk tank today between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to let their friends take their best shot at them.

Chattanooga Friends is launching a new fundraiser, “Dunked,” in partnership with Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough in Miller Plaza. For a $5 donation to the Ronald McDonald House, the donor receives three balls to throw at their favorite target.

Chattanooga Friends is a nonprofit for young professionals that provides opportunities to meet new people and make friends while serving their community, according to Friends member Autumn Witt Boyd.

“This is our first year hosting what we hope will become our signature Friends event,” she said.

As of press time, the only targets with specific tank times were Colin Woodcook, 11:30 a.m.; Missy Elliott, 11:45 a.m.; Travis Horton, 1 p.m.
