The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 9 p.m. in the following counties in the Chattanooga area:
Bradley, Hamilton, McMinn, Meigs, and Polk.
The warning also extends to Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union and Washington counties in Tennessee and Clay and Cherokee County in North Carolina.
