Kelle Chapin, wife of Chattanooga Police Sergeant Tim Chapin, gave her testimony at her home church Sunday, Times Free Press news partner WRCB-TV reported.

One week after her husband was killed while responding to a robbery on Brainerd Road, Kelle Chapin thanked her church family at Abba's House.

"I don't want to forget one person, so thank you to everyone," she said from the pulpit during the morning service.

Chapin thanked family, friends, and the community for their part in the memorial service held at the church Thursday to honor Sgt. Chapin's life.
