It takes a land-grant school to raise a real party animal, Playboy magazine found.
The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the University of Georgia’s main campus in Athens, Ga., are on the list of Top 10 party schools in the hedonistic magazine’s May edition, according to a news release.
The story will be available online Friday at www.playboydigital.com.
The release said Playboy editors used student input, comments from social media pages and other sources to choose its Top 10 party schools. Other criteria included male-female ratios, academics, the winning percentage of their sports teams, as well as their proximity to beaches, ski slopes and lively music scenes.
The 2011 list is:

Pennsylvania State University
Arizona State University
University of Western Ontario
University of Texas at Austin
University of Wisconsin
University of Georgia
University of Tennessee, Knoxville
University of Central Florida
University of California, Santa Barbara
