Ooltewah man arrested for aggravated assault

A 19-year-old man faces charges of domestic aggravated assault after he struck his uncle with a chair, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office report.

Calvin L. Pittman, of Ooltewah, posted $1,000 bond after he was arrested Monday night.

Deputies arrested Pittman after he allegedly struck his 43-year-old uncle, David L. Williams, over the head after an argument at 10:50 p.m. Monday at 3931 Rhinehart Road, where Pittman lives.

Williams told deputies Pittman grabbed him by the shirt, punched him in the head and threw him on the porch, according to arrest report.

Pittman is scheduled to appear in court May 11 in General Session Judge Bob Moon's courtroom.
