As residents are waking up this morning and heading to work, EPB would like to remind everyone to be safe. If you see a downed power line, please stay away from it! To report a downed line or an outage, call EPB at 423-648-1372, email them at cicweb@epb.net, send them a message via Twitter at EPB_Chattanooga or on Facebook at EPB of Chattanooga.
At this time, EPB has approximately 81,000 homes and businesses without power. They expect their restoration effort to take several days. They will continue to work around the clock and they have more crews coming in from out of town to assist in the effort.
Residents without power may want to consider staying with friends or family who do have power.
