CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Bradley County authorities release the names of eight of the nine people who died in Wednesday's storms. The ninth victim, who was on Blue Springs Road, has not been identified.
The victims are:
Authorities so far have counted 135 homes destroyed, 185 with major damage and 300 with minor damage.
The Red Cross shelter is operating a shelter and is accepting donations of supplies at the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy at Raider Drive.
Donated supplies should be dropped off at the church gymnasium until 8 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Money donations should be taken to the Hiwassee Chapter of the Red Cross, 304 20th St. SE in Cleveland.
Anyone in need of a meal can go to the Hiwassee Red Cross shelter located at St. Therese Catholic Church , 900 Clingan Ridge Drive.
