According to head coach Mark Mariakis, Ridgeland High School defensive back Devin Bowman was informed Monday that he had passed the English portion of the graduation test and was thus eligible to enroll at the University of Georgia.

Bowman was among the first commitments to Mark Richt's vaunted 2011 recruiting class and will arrive sometime today at UGA.

"We just found out and Devin wanted to make sure everyone knew that he's headed to Athens," Mariakis said.
