MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A Collierville couple's You Tube video of a snake crawling onto the windshield of their van at highway speed is getting clicks on the Internet.
"Snake on Car" was posted July 17 and more than 26,000 people have viewed the confused reptile slithering out from under the hood and crawling across the windshield and the driver side mirror before falling off.
Tony Fisher told WMC-TV (http://bit.ly/n7017s) the snake came straight up from the left side of the hood.
Rachel Fisher was driving on a Shelby County boulevard when it happened last week.
On the video shot by Tony Fisher, the couple can be heard trying to decide what to do about it.
The snake took the initiative, crawling around to the driver's door and falling to the highway.

SNAKES ON A CAR!!
Yeah, it says to me they're smart.....it's a freaking snake!!!!!
I agree with phrasewrite...how hard would it have been to just pull over and let the snake slither off. The guy was actually excited that once if fell off the car that it was run over. Snakes cause no harm. All they want to do is lay out in the sun and eat rodents. If this had been a bird (caught against the wipers) or a squirrel, they would have stopped immediately (or people would have been outraged if it was filmed for youtube)
Sadly, I blame Congress...they gives snakes a bad name.
