The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team went through its seventh practice of the preseason this morning at Scrappy Moore Field.

Coach Russ Huesman said he liked what he saw during the nearly three-hour workout, which featured a lot of repetitions for the Mocs' first, second and third units and a two-minute drill.

"There was a lot of energy, some good plays on both sides of the ball and I thought it was a good practice," he said.

Linebacker Shane Heatherly did not practice after suffering a sprained ankle late in Tuesday's practice. Also out were cornerback Chaz Moore (shoulder), tight end Jarrod Coleman (shoulder) and defensive lineman Toyvian Brand (concussion).

Huesman took a little time in the middle of practice to toss the ball around with his son Levi, who turned 8 years old today. Wearing big brother Jacob's helmet, Levi also got to play catch briefly with offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield and quarterback Terrell Robinson.

The Mocs will practice twice Thursday, at 7:45 a.m. and again at 6:30 p.m.
