The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team has completed half of its only two-a-day during the preseason.

At Scrappy Moore Field this morning the Mocs practiced for more than two hours in full pads. They go again tonight at 6:30.

Coach Russ Huesman said he was mostly pleased with the morning practice, but would have to watch the film this afternoon before deciding whether UTC will go in shells (helmets and shoulder pads) or just helmets tonight.

"We're going to watch the film and see what we think," he said. "If it was a good effort day [this morning], then we'll be in helmets. If it wasn't, we'll be back in pads."

Huesman isn't a fan of two-a-days but the Mocs had to have one this preseason in order to get all of their practices in before the Sept. 3 season opener at Nebraska.

Tonight's practice will focus primarily on special teams.

The Mocs will have their first scrimmage Friday at Finley Stadium at 2:30 p.m.
