Georgia House Democrats reveal alternative redistricting map

ATLANTA — House Democrats revealed an alternative redistricting map today to correct what they see as problems with the Republican-dominated body’s map released Friday.

The map appears to expand District 12, held by Rep. Barbara Massey Reece, D-Menlo, from Chattooga County north into Walker County.

The map, posted on the wall during the House Reapportionment meeting this afternoon, also realigns Districts 1, 2 and 3 to be more North-South than East-West.
