CHATTANOOGA, TN - The Transportation Security Administration confirms one of its agents discovered a loaded handgun in a passenger's carry-on bag at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

The discovery was made shortly before 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Airport police were notified and cited the passenger.

In a statement sent to Channel 3, TSA spokesperson Jon Allen says, "Passengers should look through bags thoroughly before coming to the airport to make sure there are no illegal or prohibited items."

Big deal. He should have been allowed to put it back in his car and then gone on his way. Once again, the TSA has not kept us safe from the terrorists, but they sure do manage to mess with ordinary Americans.

How do you know it was an ordinary American? Maybe it was one of those hispanics.

What good is an unloaded gun? If you are going to carry, you should at least load it.

Funny the guy didn't notice that extra two pounds unbalancing hos bag...

Wait a minute! The TSA found a loaded gun is someone's carry-on bag and the police just gave him a citation!?? WTF! Who was this guy and exactly what was really going on?

But then, maybe the incompetents staffing the TSA busted a sky marshal.

On second thought, maybe the whole incident was made up by the TSA to show how diligent they are even while they feel up our women...the guy's name was not mentioned, after all.

Maybe these people had to drive through East Lake, Glass Street, Wilcox, Southside, Coolidge Park, North Shore, downtown, Brainerd Road, and nearly anywhere else in Chattanooga to get to the airport. That explains the need for protection, though an RPG would be more effective.

**Or Hixson, Harrison, Soddy Daisy, Ooltlewah, Collegedale, Signal Mountain (where spouses turn up missing WOAT), Lookout Mountain. The list is endless.

Every American should be allowed to carry a loaded handgun everywhere they go. This idea that americans are too stupid or dangerous to take care of themselves is being pushed by a government who wants all of our freedoms. Why else would they want our guns?
