CHATTANOOGA, TN - The Transportation Security Administration confirms one of its agents discovered a loaded handgun in a passenger's carry-on bag at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.
The discovery was made shortly before 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Airport police were notified and cited the passenger.
In a statement sent to Channel 3, TSA spokesperson Jon Allen says, "Passengers should look through bags thoroughly before coming to the airport to make sure there are no illegal or prohibited items."
