Crews battle Lone Oak brush fire

A brush fire involving 25 to 30 acres of land is burning Sunday evening on the Sequatchie County side of Walden’s Ridge, according to Hamilton County 911 Floor Supervisor Robert McDeVitt.

The fire is in the Lone Oak community along U.S. Highway 127, said Dunlap Fire Chief Norman Hatfield.

The Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services dispatch received a call to send a crew around 6 p.m., according to a dispatcher, and Hatfield said the Dunlap Fire Department is also sending a crew.
