An unidentified female, 16, was shot last night near 4100 Angela Drive, a police official said.
According to police, the girl was standing with a group of her friends around around 9:30 p.m. when an unknown suspect shot into the crowd, striking her in the leg.
Police said witnesses described the shooter as a black male suspect wearing a white shirt and blue jean shorts and a black bandanna covering his face.
Witnesses said after firing the weapon, the suspect fled the scene in a silver Honda Accord that was later located near 4900 Woodland View Circle, police reported.
The girl was taken to the hospital and is expected to be treated and released, a police official said.
