Cumberland County authorities have charged a Westel, Tenn., man with attempted first-degree murder in a shooting Monday over money, according to authorities there.
Investigators said in a news release Wednesday that Christopher Allen Taylor, 23, of Gordon Lowe Road, was charged with shooting 19-year-old Otis Shane Henry in the face at his home.
According to authorities, Taylor went to Henry's residence to collect money Taylor said was owed to him. Taylor showed a handgun and shot Henry in the face.
Henry was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Taylor is in the Cumberland County Justice Center awaiting a bond hearing.
