A 50-year-old Knoxville man died Friday afternoon when he jumped from the seventh floor of an apartment complex, the Knoxville Police said.
According to Darrell DeBusk, spokesman for the Knoxville Police Department, shortly before 12:26 p.m., John Greer, a resident of the Summit Towers apartments at, 201 Locust St., jumped from a seventh floor window.
"He didn't leave a note but he had made comments to some friends earlier this morning," DeBusk said. "He had some bad news and was down and made some comments about ending his life."
