TEA PARTY LEADER SPEAKING TO CLUB

Mark West, president of the Chattanooga Tea Party, will speak at noon Monday at the Pachyderm Club.

In recent months, West, who owns Motorsports Legends and Tracks Unlimited, has gained a lot of attention for his role in the effort to recall Mayor Ron Littlefield.

The Chattanooga Tea Party, along with Citizens to Recall Mayor Littlefield and Chattanooga Organized for Action, led the recall. A recall election has been set for August.

The Pachyderm Club will meet at the DoubleTree Hotel, 407 Chestnut St. A food buffet is provided for $14 per person.

EDUCATION LEADER SPEAKING TO DEMOCRAT CLUB

Sandy Hughes, president of the Hamilton County Education Association, will speak at noon Monday at the JFK Club.

Hughes will discuss legislation affecting teachers and teaching in Hamilton County schools, according to a news release.

The meeting will be at Blue Orleans Seafood Restaurant, at the northwest corner of Main and Market streets.

There will be a buffet luncheon for $11. Vegetarian dishes are available upon request.
