Perla Trevizo receives David Ignatius Award for International Reporting

Perla Trevizo received the David Ignatius Award for International Reporting. She received the award, named for Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, for her series on Guatemalan immigrants.

The International Center for Journalists created the David Ignatius Award for International Reporting to honor the best project produced by participants in its Bringing Home the World international reporting fellowship program, funded by the Ford Foundation.

Trevizo received $1,500 and was honored at a ceremony at the Ford Foundation headquarters in New York City.
