Mohawk Industries Inc., the world's biggest floorcovering manufacturer, is promoting Brian Carson to head its flooring business and John "J.T." Turner Jr. to direct the Dal-Tile business unit, effective in January.
"Brian and J.T. are industry veterans with the institutional knowledge, business acumen and innovative creativity to further the success of our carpet and ceramic businesses," Mohawk CEO Jeffrey S. Lorberbaum said in announcing the new division presidents Tuesday.
Carson will succeed Frank Peters while Turner will succeed Harold Turk. Both Peters and Turk will continue with Mohawk by leading strategic development activities in their respective segments.

I would be embarrassed to let anyone know that I worked for a company like Mohawk, and certainly wouldn't want it published in a newspaper.
Most consumers are not aware that the FTC has been so compromised by lobbyist and corrupt politicians that it is totally worthless. A prime example is the RN numbers on lablels, that are supposed to attached to textile products to identify the manufacturers, so that consumers can compare apples to apples. But, changes in the laws allow retailers to acquire their own RN number, so that you can't identify the manufacturer. As a result, a company like Mohawk can manufacture one style of carpet and it can be marketed under 50 different labels. Lowes and Home Depot will affix their own RN numbers, and Mohawk will sell it under several different labels also. As a result, the price for the same product will be all over the board, and the consumer has no way compare prices on the exact same product. Just a little insight into the ways you are ripped off when business interests compromise your favorite corrupt politician.
BTW, a database of all of certain floorcovering manufactures' products is being compiled as we speak, and will be widely disseminated, along with company profiles, over the internet.
