Driver taken to the hospital after car hits Cleveland, Tenn., bank

photo Cleveland Police are investigating what caused a car to drive into the side of a bank.

A driver was taken to the hospital after his car collided with a Cleveland, Tenn., bank, police said.

The Cleveland Police Department received a call around 9:04 p.m. tonight that a white SUV hit the BB&T bank on the corner of Stuart Road and Keith Street. The car hit the bank after jumping a curb, Cleveland Police spokeswoman Evie West said.

The driver was taken to SkyRidge Medical Center by emergency medical services, and the driver's condition is unknown, West said.

Officers don't know of anyone else in the car at this time, West said.
