about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

Neither Romney nor Newt poses a problem for President Barack Obama. The extremist wing of the Republican party is most responsible for decimating Romney's campaign because they know he's the king of flip-floppers and they don't trust him. The extremists are also the ones who are currently responsible for the surge of Gingrich's campaign. Evidently the fact Gingrich is a liar and a cheat does not seem to bother them because he's NOT Romney.
Romney will have to take the gloves off if he intends to beat Gingrich and send Newt back for another shopping spree at Tiffany's or on another Greek Cruise. It won't be pretty but it will have to be done if Romney expects to win in the primaries. Newt likes his current status so he won't go quietly for Romney. Dems don't have to do anything. It will be like watching a National Geographic show on human cannibals. Disgusting but definitely fascinating.

As for your comment calling President Obama "King Kenyan",is this based on your knowledge of his lineage? You see he's already made a fool of ignorant birthers. So one must assume you have knowledge of his father's lineage. Some Americans can certainly trace their lineage back to royalty. It certainly is nice to know based on your comment that our President can do the same.

2010′s most bewitching political figure, former GOP Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell, is adding her involvement to the political circus surrounding the GOP primary presidential contest. The failed Senate candidate announced her endorsement of Mitt Romney last night and took to CNN’s American Morning to trumpet his many qualifications, one of them apparently being “consistency.” When host Carol Costello noted how the GOP’s designated flip-flopper has actually “changed his mind” quite a bit on important issues, O’Donnell offered this analysis: “That’s one of the things I like about him, because he’s been consistent since he changed his mind.” ROFLMAO!

"hambone said... I've been wondering about Newt's Tiffany account.

It appears Newt had two accounts at Tiffany's . According to the records he had one between 2005-2006 with a credit line of $250,000-500,000. Of course for a place like Tiffany's that's not very much. One or two purchases and that could eat up his line of credit. However, somewhere along the way he got a new line of credit that ranged from $500,000-1,000,000. It supposedly was paid in full and is now closed. Again, for a place like Tiffany's it could be used up rather quickly. This is kinda like the $10,000 bet Romney was willing to wage with Perry the other night. The average guy just wouldn't have $10,000 to throw away on a bet just as the average guy wouldn't have a million dollar line of credit at Tiffany's. Maybe the money Newt used to pay it in full came from the $1.6 million he was paid by Freddie Mac for his consultation fees. LOL.

You just gotta love it when these guys attempt to portray themselves as just ordinary people concerned about the Middle Class. Or when people like Donald Trump says he's a successful businessman but forgets to tell just how many of his so-called businesses have gone bankrupt. Or Mitt Romney talking about creating jobs then omits the part about the number of people who were layed off from his company. Yep, this is definitely a fun show to watch.

Look at Mittens lips. Yea that’s what they're meant for - Blowing. C’mere big fella.

Two years ago, I could have sworn Romney would doom the Republicans. But the GOP has morphed into the party of hateful, bigoted, greedy, and fearful idiots (it's all that's left after the few actual conservatives left). It's really no surprise that the GOP primaries have turned into a constant stream of candidates doing and saying ever more retarded, inflammatory nonsense in desperate efforts to stay in the limelight. The candidates are after all just adapting to their constituency. The real trick is figuring out when the candidates are just pandering (to which Romney wrote the book) and when they actually believe the crap they spew. Anyway, Mitt Robot worships the wrong sky daddy. Whaddaya gonna do now? Hmm but then again, since Mitt Robot unleashed the Kraken (Ann Coulter) other Republicans may cower, say nice things and overlook his ‘cult worship’. Ha ha ha.

Unless Ron Paul pulls a rabbit out of his hat or goes independent, you’re going to get Mitt Robot – and like it. Ooh boy – Mitt Romney or Obomber. What joke. What an unbelievably bad joke.

Would anyone like a loaf of bread with that side order of Newt? I can't wait to read what Newt's people are going to say about Romney. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700206642/Michael-Savage-Glenn-Beck-going-hard-at-Newt-Gingrich.html Writing on his website Monday, Savage pulled no punches in excoriating Gingrich. "In a presidential debate against Obama, regardless of how well (Gingrich) does, on television he will come off badly compared to Obama and look like nothing more than what he is: a fat, old, white man. Newt Gingrich is unelectable. Mitt Romney is the only candidate with a chance of defeating Barack Obama, and there is nothing more important than that." Ever the provocateur, Beck wasn't satisfied with merely blasting Gingrich on Fox News last week. Not only did he paint the former House speaker as a liberal-in-disguise, but Beck also went as far as to insinuate that any tea party adherent who backs Gingrich but loathes Obama is a racist. "You look at (Gingrich's) record, you read his words … this man is a progressive, he knows he is a progressive," Beck told Fox News' Judge Napolitano. "So if you've got a big government progressive or a big government progressive in Obama, one in Newt Gingrich, one in Obama, ask yourself this, tea party: Is it about Obama's race? Because that's what it appears to be to me. If you're against (Obama) but you're for (Gingrich), it must be about race."

At this juncture, the only one with the backbone to face down the current cabal of political criminals is Ron Paul. If elected he would surely (I hope) use the bully pulpit to great effect. You're dreaming. Gingrich is only edging out Romney in two early-voting states. That in no manner suggests that Gingrich is going to be nominated.

If anything, the polls suggest that the Republican voters are more divided than ever.

That's not going to happen.

That's not going to happen either. So much can happen in the eleven months leading up to the election. The President hasn't even begun to campaign yet.

Yeah, his suggestion to put school age kids to work cleaning bathrooms was a doozy alright.

"His record is better: he balanced a budget instead of enlarging a huge deficit, his economy didn't get worse, and he got welfare reform through with some help from the other big party."

You're bearing false witness again. His budget bills were shot down twice by Clinton because they had deficit spending in them.

"The party of Clinton and the Kennedys has no moral stature to complain of his three marriages."

I know of no Democrat who was cheating on his wife at the time that they were prosecuting Clinton for doing the same thing and Gingrich will forever be remembered for serving divorce papers on his first wife while she was battling cancer in a hospital room.

Why don’t you give us a short description of that plan and provide any criticism you have of it.

“His budget bills were shot down twice by Clinton because they had deficit spending in them.”

If Clinton was shooting down budgets because they had deficit spending in them why did every budget during his term contain deficit spending?

“I know of no Democrat who was cheating on his wife at the time that they were prosecuting Clinton for doing the same thing and Gingrich will forever be remembered for serving divorce papers on his first wife while she was battling cancer in a hospital room.”

How convenient that you phrased it as “I KNOW of no Democrat”

Clinton was charged with lying to a federal court but I don’t recall Gingrich having been so charged.

Gingrich did not serve divorce papers to his wife in a hospital as they were served months before.

Gingrich’s wife was not being treated for cancer as she was only having a benign tumor removed.

The Budget bills that were signed by President Clinton during the years 1998 - 2001 were indeed balanced and in fact had surpluses totaling $236.2 billion in them.

Source: http://www.factcheck.org/2008/02/the-budget-and-deficit-under-clinton/

"Gingrich did not serve divorce papers to his wife in a hospital as they were served months before."

You're half right and I am half wrong.

According to his ex-wife, who had only granted one interview in all these years, Gingrich took the opportunity to discuss his desire to divorce her while she lay in that hospital bed, and in front of their two children.

[She] said in the 1985 interview that her husband’s desire for a divorce came as "a complete surprise" to her, but Gingrich was quoted in the same story as saying the two had talked about divorce "off and on since 1969." Asked if he had handled the matter in an insensitive manner, Gingrich told the Post: "All I can say is when you been talking about divorce for 11 years and you’ve gone to a marriage counselor, and the other person doesn’t want the divorce, I’m not sure there is any sensitive way to handle it."

Gingrich hasn't come clean about the incident. He has admitted to merely having an argument with her at the time. Nothing more. The details of what was actually discussed remain cloudy, to say the least.

"Gingrich’s wife was not being treated for cancer as she was only having a benign tumor removed."

She was in the hospital for her third surgery related to uterine cancer. She underwent chemotherapy for cancer on at least one previous occasion. It is unclear if that was the case on that day. She was there for a third surgery involving the removal of a tumor that turned out to be benign.

Newt served divorce papers on his second wife shortly after she was diagnosed with a neurological condition that might be a "forerunner of multiple sclerosis.

There's much more out there on the man. He may have amended his ways and may be far different than what he once was, but he still disputes the details of his past, which gives people cause to doubt his every word.

I think there is no need to continue the Gingrich line of debate as I have proved my two points and you have for all practical purposes acceded to them. However the Bill Clinton question is still very much up in the air.

You stated that:

“The Budget bills that were signed by President Clinton during the years 1998 - 2001 were indeed balanced and in fact had surpluses totaling $236.2 billion in them.”

And gave this source:

I think that you and Factcheck are both wrong and that you may want to refrain from putting to much faith in these supposedly “nonpartisan and fair” fact check web sites. I think that I can prove this fairly easily and quickly.

Answer this question.

Is there a balanced or surplus budget in any year that the national debt increases and if you answer in affirmative do make your case for that possibility?

Have you ever had an original though?"

I suppose it never occured to someone of your great "intellect" that the reason I gave the source of the statements concerning Newt's candidacy was because I was giving credit to the people who made the statements. I merely read the statements, thought they were EXTREMELY FUNNY and then posted them for others to see along with the SOURCE of the statements so as not to take credit for someone else's VERY COMICAL view of Newt Gingrich and his chances of winning the Presidency as the Republican Party candidate.
What eats at you are the facts (1) You know what Savage and Beck have said are TRUE and (2) As I stated before: Dems don't have to participate in this carnage, all they have to do is sit back and watch the show. LOL
