A man was arrested tonight in connection to a fatal stabbing in McMinn County, Tenn.
Skiver Millsaps, 20, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with a Dec. 14 stabbing that led to Jonathan Jones’ death Monday, McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy said.
The McMinn County Sheriff’s Office worked with U.S. Marshals and officers in Monroe County, Tenn., to arrest Millsaps, who had been on the run for nearly a week, Guy said.
Law enforcement received additional information today that led officers to a location on Gamble Road outside of Madisonville in Monroe County.
Millsaps surrendered to Monroe County officers in a wooded area, Guy said.
Millsaps was taken to the McMinn County Justice Center and will face additional charged in both McMinn and Monroe Counties.
He will be arraigned Thursday in McMinn County General Sessions Court, Guy said.
