Chattanooga police are investigating a body that was discovered in a ditch at 7300 East Brainerd Road, according to police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.
The call came in at 4:30 p.m., a dispatcher said. No information was immediately available about the deceased person’s gender, age or manner of death.

I think it turned out that this was a false report. Someone was hit by a car and received minor injuries near 7300 East Brainerd Road, but the body in the ditch was a false report. There was a separate fatality after a person was hit by a vehicle on old Lee Highway.
