A 26-year-old man remains in the Hamilton County Jail without bond after he jumped on top of the mother of his child, causing her to spill hot coffee on a 4-year-old at the Rossville Boulevard McDonald's restaurant, according to a Chattanooga Police Department arrest report.

Allen B. Cooper, of Red Bank, was attempting to take the woman's cell phone and kicked a booster seat occupied by the pair's 9-month-old daughter, according to the report. Neither child was injured.

Cooper and the woman were meeting at the restaurant conducting a supervised visit with Child Protective Services.

Cooper fled after the incident and was stopped by police after he walked along Rossville Boulevard and got into a car with another man.

In addition to facing charges of domestic assault and child endangerment, he was also picked up on warrants concerning reckless endangerment and escape.

Cooper's next court date is set for Jan. 13 before General Sessions Court Judge David Bales.
