A rower passes underneath the P.R. Olgiati Bridge on Saturday morning. More than 1200 competitors in 35 teams from nine states competed in the Chattanooga Head Race on Saturday, according to Regatta Director Mike Connors. Connors said Saturday's event, which is in its 19th year, was the largest yet. The race's course began and ended at Ross's Landing and stretched up the Tennessee River.
