Kicker chooses Georgia for 2012

Marshall Morgan, expected to rank among the top kickers and punters in the 2012 college football signing class, provided Georgia with an early commitment Monday.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder from Miami picked the Bulldogs over scholarship offers from Florida, Florida State and Virginia Tech, according to Rivals.com. He made 15 of 16 field-goal tries during his junior season and averaged 43 yards a punt.

Morgan, who would arrive at Georgia following the departures of Blair Walsh and Drew Butler, is Georgia's second commitment for the '12 class. The first was receiver C.J. Curry of Gainesville, Ga., who committed in October.
